The United States today has an estimated 30 million women who suffer with the problem of hair loss according to the American Academy of Dermatology. This is a very large number of women and even though it is more common for older women to suffer from hair loss, A majority of which deals with menopause, a large number of younger women also are plagued by hair loss. 3. Another medical condition which can cause hair loss in a woman if only temporarily is known as Telogen Effluvium. This particular type of hair loss will occur when there has been a change in a woman's hormone levels following an event in their lives. Such events which can effect the growth of a woman's hair is the birth of a child, using a crash diet, undergoing surgery or something traumatic has happened to them.
It is important to note that before you undergo any type of treatment, so that you do not cause the problem to become worse, a doctor should be consulted to find the underlying cause of the hair loss. It is vital to find the primary cause of the hair loss, as such a doctor may need to carry out a few tests to determine this.
Above we have mentioned just a few of the causes of hair loss in women, but it does not mean it will happen to you. However, do not be worried when washing your hair or brushing if you notice a few more hairs than usual falling out this is just a natural part of life and the aging process.
