151: Sources To Consider Before Buying Colored Contact Lenses
One thing to consider when looking to buy color contacts is value. It's a natural instinct to compare two boxes and say, "Well, this one says $15 for ten lenses and that one says $27 for six lenses. Obviously the cheaper one must be the better value!" However, what you didn't take into consideration is that the $15 box is DAILY lenses, and that those ten lenses are actually just five pairs that'll last five days. On the other hand, your $27 box of six translates to three BIWEEKLY pairs of soft lenses that will last you six weeks. Take note though. If you wear your lenses infrequently for fashion purposes, then daily lenses make sense. If your eyes are extremely allergen-sensitive or if you're very paranoid about eye infections, then dailies make sense. For everyone else, you'll want the more durable, valuable weekly or biweekly lenses.
